What is good about the Topeak MTX Trunk Bag Ex
Divided main compartment – constructed with a new process that combines rigid molded panels with flexible 600 denier fabric for rigidity and water repellency.

Simple mounting – Topeak’s QuickTrack system makes mounting these bags to a Topeak rear rack incredibly easy. Simply line up the composite QuickTrack base with the channels on any Topeak rear rack and slide forward until it clicks into place and there are no tools, no straps, and no hassles. To remove, simply push the yellow release button and slide the bag or basket rearward until completely disengaged.

There were plenty of positive reviews for this trunk bag. This reviewer felt this trunk bag works SO well! I commute by bike, and this bag is so easy on and off. It holds all of my “stuff” and lunch besides. Great design, roomier than it looks, and good looking besides-it’s perfect.
A reviewer stated we enjoy riding long distance charity road rides, and this set-up is perfect: take extra energy bars, ibuprofen, another T-shirt, or stash extra clothing. At home, my husband will make a run to the grocery store on his mountain bike, slip the bag off his rack, and pack it up in the store, slip it back on outside, and away he goes.
Numerous reviewers mentioned this bag is fantastic! What makes it so great is its size. I go for long weekend bike rides and I carry several things in this bag including a mini pump, replacement tire, tools, small first aid kit, wallet, keys, etc. I also carry some extra snacks and it all fits with room to spare. It’s solidly built and I feel it is made to last. It has storage galore and extra pockets on the side. I don’t go anywhere without it.
This cyclist said I like the zippered mesh pockets on the outside for things like granola bars, my poncho, and tools. The inside can fit a couple of books, an extra bottle of water, a towel, and my camera for a joy ride or a change of clothes and a pair of shoes for work.
Several reviewers commented they didn’t realize how convenient the MTX system was going to be. This bag easily and securely attaches to my MTX rack. While it’s not big enough to hold clothes, it’s perfect for transporting smaller items like a bike lock, tools, a lunch, wallet, and a few other small items. If you’re not trying to transport clothes, it’s perfect; otherwise, I’d recommend going with an MTX bag with side panniers for the extra storage.
