The Jandd Extreme Front Rack is the only equipment to reach for when front panniers are a necessity such as when bicycle touring.
What is good about the Jandd Extreme Front Rack
Weight capacity – you can carry up to 40 pounds (although Amazon states 25 pounds) with the Jandd Extreme Front Rack. That should be more than enough combined with your rear panniers for all your gear. Like any panniers I recommend a few test runs as the added weight of any panniers does take a bit getting used to.
Strong construction – the 3/8″ 6061 aluminum rod stock is double welded for strength in the most adverse conditions, and the generous 6″ wide top plate ensures sufficient space for a front pannier Pac or a compact sleeping bag. All stress points are double welded.
Flexible clearance – on the Extreme Front Rack panniers can be mounted low for stability or high if added clearance is desirable.
Easy mounting – quick and easy due to innovative reverse inverted bottom armatures that allow the rack to fit onto almost any fork configuration with minimal adjustment. Two sets of mounting slots, one near the top and one midway up from the fork, allow for solid attachment using clamps (included) or at fixed eyelet points on the fork.

What customers say about the Jandd Extreme Front Rack
There were only a few reviews on this bike rack. For example this reviewer stated the rack worked perfectly on a 74 day tour of Europe. Having the extra space that the rack gave us was a god send on our tandem.
Another reviewer said the rack is all that it promised to be. My only disappointment is that it didn’t fit as well on my bike as I had hoped. I was able to attach it very securely but not the way it was intended. Good purchase though, and I would choose it again.
This reviewer remarked he spent countless hours researching which front rack I wanted, and mainly, which would work with front disc brakes. I’d imagine that this would fit perfectly, without any adjusting, on any standard touring bike with lower eyelets on the forks. Appears to be very well built, and love the adjustability in height that you can carry your panniers. The platform is a nice touch too.
